When it comes to ministry, one of the major aspects in my philosophy is discipleship. When
With this view in mind, the Student Ministries here at Bridgeway have made discipleship groups, or D-groups, a priority. D-groups are a small group of individuals led by a Servant Leader.
All leading adults are asked to follow four major components in fulfilling their D-group requirements:
1) Community is a time devoted to the members of the group getting to know each other better and more personally.
2) Adoration is a time for the group to focus its energy upwards toward their Father and Savior in heaven.
3) Nurture is a time the members are held accountable, instructed, and exhorted by the leader of the group. In essence, it is when their faith is nurtured.
4) Service is a time for the group to focus its energies outward to those whom they may serve.
I would love to eventually see every student connected in a personal, God-oriented group, led by servant leaders, that holds one another accountable to the Word of God.
